Summary
editDescriptionMill Bridge, Leamington Spa - geograph.org.uk - 2940.jpg |
English: Mill Bridge, Leamington Spa. This bridge was designed by William DeNormaville and opened in 1903. It was so named because it is on the site of an old water mill that at one point was the source of water for Leamington. The bridge originally had turbines for electricity generation built into the abutments, hence the arches visible beyond the weir. Beyond that was a boat lift to allow small craft to be towed past the weir. |
