English: Mimmshall Brook in Water End. The brook here, just downstream of the Bradmore Lane bridge, is wide but shallow, and running on a gravelly bed. Under normal water table conditions, and less than 400 metres downstream from here, the water disappears entirely from the ground surface into a series of swallow holes 990507, hence the name Water End. |
