Summary edit

Description
English: When Typhoon Mindulle blew ashore near Tokyo, the typhoon lashed the city with gusts of wind up to 125 kilometers (78 miles) per hour. At 10:45 a.m. local time on August 21 (03:45 Universal Time), the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi NPP satellite acquired this image of the storm. A second storm, Lionrock, churned south of Japan. This is the first time Tokyo has been hit by a tropical storm in eleven years.
