Description
English: Pyxis with animal-shaped (dog-shaped) handle, covered with incisions forming triangles. (This decorative motif was common in the Cyclades in the Early Bronze Age.) Early Bronze Age, about 2400 BC. Green steatite. From the Palace of Zakros. (A similar pyxis lid found in Mochlos appears to have been crafted by the same artist.) Archaeological Museum of Heraklion.
Čeština: Pyxis s rukojetí ve tvaru zvířete, asi psa, zdobená zářezy, které tvoří trojúhelníky. (Tento dekorativní motiv je v té době obvyklý na Kykladách.) Starší doba bronzová, asi 2400 BC. Zelený steatit. Nález z paláce Zakros. (Podobné víko pyxidy bylo nalezené v Mochlos, zdá se, že bylo vytvořené stejným umělcem.) Archeologické muzeum v Irakliu.
