Description
English: Caption on image: F.H. Nowell. Official Photographer. Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition. X2978.

The Fisheries Building was a small building annexed to the back of the U.S. Government Building. It was otherwise called the "Aquarium". The Fisheries exhibit included an aquarium featuring fish from northern waters. These fish purportedly arrived "on time, traveling in their own private car." After the fair, Seattle's Greenlake Improvement Club unsuccessfully lobbied the city Parks Department to retain the Fisheries exhibit.
