Description I had mentioned earlier about some of the aircraft whose models we saw which helped protect US ships from the formidable German U-Boats. These were actually German submarines which were notoriously efficient in taking out US navy ships due to their stealthy and almost invisible approach from underwater. 565 of these were built during WW-2, and their alarming efficiency almost completely cut off essential supplies to Britain during the war. (St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, June 2015)
