English: Copper alloy

Military Cap Badge. Openwork pressed metal, depicting lion and unicorn, the latter on a thistle, supporting the royal arms; a scroll beneath the unicorn retains the legend: [---] REGT; the rest is lost. The object is twisted.The motif may suggest this to relate to the service dress of one of the Royal Regiments, perhaps in the period before introduction of steel helmets. Suggested date: Modern: 1910-1920.

Length: 42.2mm, Height: 38.48mm, Thickness: 0.9mm, Weight: 7.84gms.
