English: Mold Junction Locomotive Shed This Loco Shed must have been built after 1882 as according to the O.S. the original road ran over a level crossing under these buildings (O.S.1882). The road bridge must have been built before the crossing was closed, of course. The building with the large chimney, at this end of the shed, looks as though it may have been the blacksmith's workshop. The road bridge, despite being built out of stone, has now been deemed 'weak', hence the traffic lights that manage the single line traffic flow. The shed and adjacent yard is now used by a scrap metal merchant. |
