| Description |
Nederlands: Molenkade 7, aan boezemwater de Hoornsevaart, Molen C, één van de vier Zeswielenmolens in de Oudorperpolder, boezemmolen ofwel strijkmolen, na de brand op 6 maart 1999. De ingepakte achtkant. Rijksmonument. Molens de Zeswielen uit 1627-1630. Molen A is in 1688 verbrand en Molen F is tijdens WO II in het Openluchtmuseum te Arnhem getroffen door een bom. Ze maalden water uit de Oudorperpolder, voorheen een onderdeel van de Raaksmaatsboezem, naar de Hoornsevaart, onderdeel Schermerboezem. Het peilverschil was 40 cm. Toen het waterpeil in 1941 gelijk werd, verloren de molens hun functie. In 2000 werden de molens eigendom van de Molenstichting Alkmaar en Omstreken, die ze liet restaureren en draaivaardig en maalvaardig maken en die ze liet bewonen door vrijwillige molenaars. In 1972 werd dit gedeelte van Oudorp bij de gem. Alkmaar gevoegd.
