Description
Nederlands: Moluks monument in Woerden. Het monument is ontworpen en gemaakt door kunstenaar Taeke Friso de Jong. Het zijn drie plaquettes, drie reliëfs, uitgevoerd in brons en groen gepatineerd. Op 9 juni 2021 werd het monument in de poortruimte van gebouw De Kazerne in Woerden onthuld. Zeventig jaar na de aankomst in 1951 van de Molukkers in Nederland. Voor de plaatsing van het monument in de Kazerne is gekozen omdat het van de drie onderkomens waar de Molukkers werden ondergebracht na hun aankomst in Woerden, nog de enige bestaande locatie is. De drie reliëfs vertellen in woorden en beelden het verhaal van de Molukkers in Woerden.
