Description
Italiano: Ex sinagoga di Moncalvo, Piemonte, Italia
English: The former synagogue of Moncalvo, Piedmont, Italy. The information board supplies the following information.
  Façade of the former synagogue built around 1700, which is now in private hands. The furnishings are currently in a small synagogue in Israel. The Hebrew inscription, [with Italian translation below,] now effaced, is from Isaiah: ‘La mia casa sarà chiamata casa di preghiera per tutte le Genti’ / ‘my house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples’. The ancient ghetto included the synagogue and was delimited by the streets below: Via IV Marzo and a stretch of Via XX Settembre.
