Summary

edit
Description This is the range of hues that would be perceived by a normal w:human observer for black bodies with w:temperatures between 100 and 10,000 w:Kelvin. The color for each pixel has been determined by w:Monte Carlo simulation of Planck's law according to w:CIE 1964. Intensity is not represented; radiation from a 100 K black body would be invisible, while a 10,000 K "black" body would instantly cause blindness (and worse) at normal computer viewing distances.
