Description
English: The Monument to the Soviet Army (Bulgarian: Паметник на Съветската армия, Pametnik na Savetskata armia) is a monument located in Sofia. There is a large park around the statue and the surrounding areas. It is a popular place where many young people gather. The monument is located on Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard, near Orlov Most and the Sofia University. It represents a soldier from the Soviet Army, surrounded by a woman and a man from Bulgaria. There are other, secondary sculptural compositions part of the memorial complex around the main monument. The monument was built in 1954.
Deutsch: Das Denkmal der Sowjetischen Armee, Sofia (Bulgarisch: Паметник на Съветската армия, Pametnik na Savetskata armia) ist ein Denkmal die mitten in einem beliebten Park von Sofia liegt, neben den Boulevards Tsar Osvoboditel, Evlogi Georgiev, Vasil Levski. Auch nicth weit von der Brücke Orlov (Orlov Most) und der Universität von Sofia. Das Denkmal stellt einen Soldat der sovjetische Armee dar, umgegeben von einer Frau und einem Man aus Bulgarien. Neben dem Hauptdenkmal gibt es noch andere kleineren Denkmälen und Skulpturen die auch zu der Gedenkstäte gehören. Das Denkmal wurde im Jahr 1954 gebaut.
Català: El monument a l'exèrcit soviètic, Sofia (Bulgar: Паметник на Съветската армия, Pametnik na Savetskata armia) és un monument ubicat a un popular i gran parc del centre de Sofia, limitat pels Boulevards Tsar Osvoboditel, Evlogi Georgiev i Vasil Levski. No massa lluny del parc hi ha el pont Orlov (Orlov Most) i la Universitat de Sofia. El monument representa un soldat de l'exèrcit soviètic envoltat per una dona i un home de Bulgària. Entorn del monument principal hi ha d'altres monuments secundàris que també formen part del memorial, el qual va ser construit l'any 1954.
