Summary edit

Description
English: Moore County Courthouse on a rainy day. The Moore County Courthouse lies within a traffic circle on Highway 27 in Carthage, North Carolina. Prominent in this image is the obelisk which is a monument to local son and World War One aviator-hero James R. McConnell, who left the U.S. to enlist with the French Lafayette Escadrille, prior to the U.S. entry into WWI. He was killed in action in March, 1917.
