Summary

Description
English: Moorland pond The terrain was fairly flat moorland on a ridge and it seems unlikely that the pond was formed naturally. Nearby was a most unusual feature for this locality: a stone wall(visible here) with an earth bank alongside it on the far side. Maybe the site of the pond was a small quarry or delve which by coincidence gave people a useful watering hole on the hill top. I like to think this was a planned coincidence, killing two birds with one stone. The Malvern Hills and others are visible in the background.
