Description
English: Collotype, Divided back, 12.50 x 9.15 cm A rare postcard of Moplah men. Moplahs were the descendants of Arab traders on the Malabar coast and local women. Nicholas was one of the earliest photographers of South India, with studios in Madras [Chennai] and Bangalore, as well as Calicut on the Malabar coast for a time.
