Description
English: View of Missouri River towards Missouri showing the two bridges connecting Atchison,Kansas to Buchanan County, Missouri. Smaller railroad bridge in foreground was constructed in 1880's with my gr-grandfather John Recht involved in the construction. The larger bridge was constructed in about 1937 is now called the Amelia Earhart Bridge in her honor. As labelled, the photo was taken from the street in front of her birth home in Atchison, Kansas
