La mosquée de Mansourah aurait été édifié vers 1303 par le sultan Abou Yacoub. A sa mort les travaux de construction sont suspendus et ne reprennent quand l'an 1336.

La mosquée occupe un rectangle de 60 mètres de large sur 86 mètres de long. L'entré principale de la mosquée se trouve à la base du minaret. La cour est de forme carrée de 30 mètres de côté. Les murs de 1,50 m d'épaisseur sont faits de pierre siliceuse rose.
