Deutsch: Das ehemalige Mossul-Gebiet und (frühere) Provinzgrenzen des Irak: Das umstrittene Mossul-Gebiet (rot) kam erst nach einem britisch-irakisch-türkischen Vertrag 1925 endgültig zum Irak. Es war nicht völlig deckungsgleich mit dem früheren osmanischen Vilâyet Mossul (Ausdehnung des Mossul-Gebiets nach Putzger Historischer Weltatlas, Seite 111. Cornelsen, Velhagen & Klasing. English: The former Mosul territory and former borders of Iraq's governorates (provinces): The disputed Mosul territory (red) in 1925 finally became a part of Iraq after a Britisch-Iraqi-Turkish treaty. It was not comptelely identical with the former Ottoman Mosul Vilayet (extension of the Mossul territory according to Putzger Historischer Weltatlas, page 111. Cornelsen, Velhagen & Klasing. Berlin 1979)
