English | hrvatski | македонски | srpskohrvatski / српскохрватски | српски / srpski | +/− | style="width:60px;" | |} Most je izgrađen u periodu od 1571. do 1577. godine, a gradio ga je tada najčuveniji turski arhitekta Kodža Mimar Sinan. Izgrađen je u istočnjačkom stilu i predstavlja remek dijelo tadašnjeg graditeljstva.

Ima 11 lukova sa blagim usponom prema sredini i silaznom rampom na lijevoj obali. Iznad lukova čitavom dužinom mosta proteže se profilisani vijenac iznad koga je ograda mosta. Ukupna dužina iznosi 179,5 m, visina nad normalnim vodostajem rijeke 15,40 m a širina mosta 6,30 metara. Most je građen od kamena, sedre, odnosno bigra, koji je dovežen iz Višegradske banje.
