Description Lot-2916-3: Russian Intervention, 1918-1920. Motor Boating With Denikin. In General Anton Denikin’s military operations in the Caucasus mountains he carries a flotilla of scout motor-boats for use in the Black Sea, the Caspian of the interior lakes and rivers. When this train of boats arrived at Petrovsk, it was met by Dr. Alexander Grant, the American Red Cross delegate in charge of relief operations for a large district peopled by the Terek Cossacks. Dr. Grant’s is an old motor-boat enthusiast, and he saw an opportunity and secured one connection with his relief operations to carry hospital supplies to the river districts.
