Description

Another visit to Waterford today and the Poole Collection. A couple who have been identified with a date range of 54 years though I suspect that it will be much later than 1901? Who were Alethea Buxton and Peter Eliot (with one L)????

Fantastic contributions all around today. This photo was used alongside a notice of engagement in the Irish Independent on the 20th of September 1933, with the following caption "Lady Alethea Buxton (daughter of Earl Buxton) and Mr. Peter Eliot (son of the Hon. Edward Eliot, who is a brother of the Earl of St. Germans), whose engagement has been announced, photographed at Mount Congreve, Waterford, where they were on a visit"

I think it is fair to presume this photo was taken in the summer of 1933.
