English: iss070e006129 (Oct. 18, 2023) -- The glacier-capped Mount Rainer ascends up to 14,400 feet (~4,400 meters) above sea level. As the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S., the active volcano slopes through Mount Rainer National Park, southeast of Seattle. The International Space Station orbited 260 miles above the Pacific Northwest as this photograph was taken.
