Summary
editDescriptionMountains and rainwater cistern (9733217560).jpg | "In these mountains water is his hard to come by. And like in the mountains in Greece where my home is they dig cisterns to harvest the rain water. It was the first time I had seen this traditional technique being constructed. It was heartening to see this sustainable solution still being applied. The difference here being that unlike in Greece where the cisterns are closed with arches here they are left open. This leads to water loss through evaporation and the water becoming dirty. I decided on my return to explore with my colleagues methods of improving traditional designs."
