Summary

edit
Description Munzothamnus blairii (Blair's wirelettuce). Munzothamnus is a genus with a single species, known only from San Clemente Island. It is related to Stephanomeria (Asteraceae). It usually flowers in summer, but we were fortunate to find a few early blooms on a some of ones planted outside the canteen buildings at Wilson's Cove. We saw large native bushes of this plant without flowers in several of the island's canyons.
