Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, marquise de Pompadour, en costume de belle jardinière, portrait ayant appartenu à son frère, le marquis de Marigny, directeur des Bâtiments du Roy. Une gravure effectuée au début du XIXe siècle précise que ce tableau se trouvait alors dans la galerie d'Abraham Fontanel, à Montpellier rue des Étuves.
