Description

Vagón J2 402.915 - Serie internacional GS - Tara/tare 12,5 t. - Carga máxima/maximum load 27,5 t. - 100 Km/h.

English: Standard wagon, cage types. On the origins of the railroad, wagons were all like this. Except for rare exceptions, they were all two axles, built entirely of wood, including frame. In 1880 became the metal frame, which allowed to increase its capacity. Since the early twentieth century, began to use the metal box structure, keeping the wood on the walls, floor and roof. Used for the transport of all kinds, have shared use with other more specialized types of wagons. The progressive abandonment by the RENFE of the unprofitable traffic, mainly freight scattered, has been gradually relegated many of them, which has led to its premature scrapping.
