Description Museu Nacional do Açúcar e do Álcool, popularmente chamado de Museu da Cana. Parada das carroças. A cana-de-açúcar era levada de carroças até o engenho e os trabalhadores dos engenhos tinham pequenas moradias no terreno do engenho. O Engenho Central chegou a contratar 100 operários, chegando a produzir 100.000 sacas de açúcar. Em 1924, o Cel. Francisco Schmidt faleceu e, em 1961, seus herdeiros venderam a Fazenda Vassoural para Maurílio Biagi que, em 1964, adquiriu também o Engenho Central.
