Description

Museum of Archdiocese in Gniezno Garnitur ołtarzowy kardynała Ledóchowskiego. Jest to zestaw (jakby serwis) grupujący różne naczynia i sprzęty liturgiczne. Obejmuje on m.in. kielich, puszkę na komunikaty, tackę z ampułkami, flakony szklane, hostiarkę, kadzielnicę, łódkę do kadzidła, lavabo biskupie (dzban z misą), dzownek, tacki na piuske i pektorał, nożyce do tonsury, bugię (mały lichtarzyk), muszęl do sypania ziemi na trumnę, kropidło oraz kielnię do wmurowywania portatylii. Były to przedmioty niezbędne podczas liturgii pontyfikalnej oraz służące biskupom do wypełnienia ich obowiązków.

Srebro częsciowo złocone, repusowane, stancowane i cyzelowane. Wykonane w Fuldzie przez firmę Papista ok. 1862-1865 r.. Wykazuje wyraźne cechy klasycystyczne. To jeden z największych tego typów zestawów na świecie. Jest darem króla Belgii Leopolda I z roku 1865 dla wówczas jeszcze biskupa Mieczysława Ledóchowskiego, nuncjusza papieskiego w Brukseli, z okazji zakończenia służby dyplomatycznej i przejścia na stolicę gnieźnieńsko - poxnańską.
