Description
English: Mustang district covers an area of 3,573 km² which lies in northward onto the Tibetan plateau of Nepal. Mustang is influenced by the Tibetan culture followed by Buddhist. This district is famous for natural beauty and cultural heritage. Mustang holds the world’s deepest gorge, Andhra Galchi was also known as Kali Gandaki gorge. The 14th-century ancient monasteries also lie in Nepal which may help to study about the mankind.

The temple in the highest altitude of the world Muktinath is also in Mustang which is the common Plimigrage for Hindus and Buddhist. The fossils found in Kali Gandaki River, The hot spring water, the salt lake, panoramic views of Nilgiri Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, ancient monasteries, cliff hanging monasteries, colorful fields are some of the attraction in the place.

The headquarter of Mustang district is Jomsom, the convenient way to get there is by flights you can also find the bus services up to there. The restricted area starts from Kag Beni which is nearly 3 hours walk from Jomsom. You can clearly see the view of Dhaulagiri and the Nilgiri there.

The colorful field of Thini seems amazing. Do not miss to visit Dhumba Lake near Jomson in Visit of Mustang. Mainly Mustang is divided into two parts as a lower Mustang and to Lo Kingdom (“Upper Mustang”). The upper Mustang was forbidden for the foreigners till 1991.Now, these days they must take permits to visit the places.
