Pub sign showing Colman's tug "Mustard Pot" on the River Yare at Norwich near their mustard factory

Summary

edit
Description
English: J & J Colman, mustard makers of Norwich brought in raw matrials and sent out their products by barge via Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. Between 1925 and 1950 they used their own tug "Mustard Pot" on the River Yare to bring the barges directly alongside the mustard works. In Thorpe Road, Norwich, it was originally the "East End Retreat", becoming the "Mustard Pot" in 1965. This uniquely-named pub is no more - Adnam's sold it around 2012 and it is now the "Fat Cat and Canary".
