Bahasa Indonesia: Wakil Ketua Komisi II DPR RI, Al Muzammil Yusuf mempertanyakan penangkapan yang dilakukan Polri terhadap Nurul Fahmi, pembawa bendera bertuliskan kalimat syahadat. Sebab, pelaku penulis bendera Merah Putih sebelumnya tidak mendapatkan tindakan apapun oleh aparat penegak hukum.

Dia mencontohkan kasus penulisan kata-kata di bendera Merah Putih. Ada tulisan di bendera Merah Putih pada cover lagu Iwan Fals, ada juga tulisan bebaskan Ahok, lambang Metalica, Oi dan sebagainya.

"Kenapa mereka tidak dihukum. Mereka menodai NKRI. Kenapa Nurul Fahmi saja yang ditangkap dan diusut, sementara pelaku lain atas kejadian serupa tidak diusut,” tegas Muzammil mempertanyakan.

Padahal, kata Muzammil, berdasarkan Undang-undang (UU) Nomor 24/2009 tentang Bendera, Bahasa dan Lambang Negara serta Lagu Kebangsaan, yang tidak diperbolehkan adalah menodai bendera Indonesia.

"Apakah kata-kata Laa Illaha Illallah termasuk kata-kata kotor? Itu kata-kata suci, syahadat, bukan menodai,” tegas Muzzamil lagi mempertanyakan.
