English: My Choice (2016) is a short film directed by filmmaker Bea Moyes, produced by Jodi Garrod (Doula Paris), which examines the personal experience of Renata Rodrigues as she prepares to give birth to her daughter Ludmilla, in Paris. The film reflects on her personal choice to give birth at home, and on the movement of midwives and birth advocates working for women to choose the birth that's right for them. This is an educational resource for midwives and mothers, reflecting one personal story of normal physiological homebirth.
Jodi is a Doula, Hypnobirthing teacher & prenatal Yoga teacher working in Paris. She also runs free monthly Positive Birth Movement meeting in Paris to provide a space for peer sharing & support for women surrounding pregnancy, birth & motherhood.
