Description An idyllic autumn afternoon at Turgua Brewing Company. Located about 20 minutes from Asheville, and a world away from the city, it's a farm stand kind of country brewery, with a hitching rail so people can also arrive on horseback. I enjoy spending an entire afternoon there, relaxing and reading in an adirondack chair by the canna lilies, under the oak, with my feet propped on a log, and a good beer close at hand. The newest beer this time was a superb farmhouse ale aged in bourbon barrels that had previously been used to age a batch of apple cider.
