English: The 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment arrived by ship convoy at Vung Tau, approx 76 miles southeast of Saigon, where they were greeted by military dignitaries of the allied forces, then left by air for their staging area at Long Binh, RVN. A GI truck loaded with battle equipped troopers leaves the dock area passing through the gate and a small tank used by the Vietnamese in post defense. |
