Description
English: A bald eagle watches over its nest on the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge in Florida. NASA's Kennedy Space Center is located on the refuge, which provides a habitat for 330 species of birds, including the bald eagle. Bald eagles, which mate for life, use a specific territory for nesting, winter feeding or a year-round residence. Its natural domain is from Alaska to Baja, California, on the west coast and from Maine to Florida on the east coast.
