Plateau This is a decorative panel from either the pommel or cantle of a woman’s saddle. This ‘drop’ is rawhide with lazy stitched, glass, seed beads and red wool trade cloth edging, silver “buttons” or conchos and rawhide fringe decorate the bottom. It represents an early style of beading and typical Columbia Plateau color pallet. Rawhide, glass, cloth, silk. L26.0 , W 15.0 cm
