English: US Navy "Boston Whaler" Skimmer Speeds across the waters of an inner harbor on operation stable door, harbor defense in Vietnam. Designed with a fiberglass hull and powered by an outboard engine, this 16 1/2 foot craft can reach any area of the harbor in only a few minutes using speeds in excess of 20 knots. Two and three man crews use the speedy craft for inspecting sampans entering the harbors. |
