Description This microform is on collodion, a nitrocellulose-based film which was used in early photography. This microfilm contains dispatches conveyed through “pigeon post” (service des dépêches par pigeons voyageurs) connecting the French communication lines during the Siege of Paris in the Franco-Prussian War, 1870-1871.
