Description

The lighthouse received federal heritage designation in September 2016. In July 2017 the Municipality of Clare took ownership of the lighthouse. The town restored the exterior of the building, it has became the centerpiece of a new municipal park. In August 2017 the federal government announced a grant of $83,000 to support the project.

Structure Type: Square concrete tower, white, on fog signal building. This may actually be the third lighthouse on this station.

Light Characteristic: Flashing White (1992) Tower Height: 8.84 meters (29ft)

Light Height: 31.7 meters (104ft) above water level
