Deutsch: Nachbau eines U-Bahn-Eingangs der IRT am Bahnhof Astor Place, IRT Lexington Avenue Line. Solche Bauten aus Gusseisen und Glas schirmten die Zugänge vor Wind und Wetter ab. Sie standen überall entlang der ersten IRT-Strecken und wurden bald zu einem ihrer Markenzeichen.

  • Such cast-iron and glass constructions covered the entrances and exits of the original IRT lines and soon became one of its trademarks.
