Description
English: "NYC 4096" at Danbury Railway Museum in April 2015. Built as EMD E7 #765 for the Train of Tomorrow, rebuilt as E8 #912A for the Union Pacific Railroad, rebuilt as E9A #417 for Amtrak. Arrived at Danbury Railroad Museum in 1997, repainted as "NYC 4096" (one number higher than the last NYC E8). This locomotive never actually operated for the NYC. At right is ex-Metro North (Originally New Haven, via Penn Central and Amtrak) RDC #32.
