English: Karabela, East Timor (Sep. 26, 1999) - U.S. Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC) and Military Sealift Command (MSC) combined four man team conduct a survey of the port of Karabela in East Timor as part of the International Force for East Timor (INTERFET) with an escort provided by the New Zealand Army Special Air Service (NZSAS). The MTMC-MSC port survey team had earlier arrived at Baucau airfield in East Timor from Darwin, Australia and was then transported to the port by helicopter with the escort. |
