| Description |
One of the most respected writers in Kannada, he was with the Prajavani - Deccan Herald Group. Now teaches at IIJNM. Legendary for his writings on Science and Technology in Kannada, his latest books are now published by Bhoomi books, his own publishing company. This is a photo I took when we went to record a podcast with him for Sampada (http://sampada.net/article/7662). Observe the line drawings in the background. These are called 'Hase Chitra' (ಹಸೆ ಚಿತ್ರ) in local language. Nagesh Hegde has himself drawn these on the walls of his house. The photo was subsequently used in media several times in later months, unfortunately without any credits. When I reported this to the respective publishers, some of them offered money. But I'd have preferred seeing credits for my work any time. |
