English: Nant Ffrancon and the Menai Straits Taken from the high level ridge walk between Pen yr Ole Wen and Carnedd Dafydd in the Carneddau. Nant Ffrancon is followed by the A5 on its way to the Menai Bridge. The spoil from the slate quarries of Bethesda show up with Bethesda to their right. In the distance is the Menai Straight and the eastern end of Anglesey. |
