English: The houses in Lamu old town are built closer to each other and this gives the town a unique feature of narrow street. The narrow street is called Kinooni narrow street because of the presence of the Kinoo stone that was used to sharpen the Knives and Pangas. The Kinoo have existed over centuries. A lot of myths existed about the Kinoo stone.
