Description
English: The second Atlantic storm named in the same day, Tropical Storm Nate is developing in the Gulf of Mexico just west of the Yucatan. The most recent hurricane hunter mission measured Nate’s maximum sustained winds at 45 mph. The National Hurricane Center shows the potential for this storm to intensify into a Category 1 hurricane over the next 36 hours as it moves northward through the Gulf along the Mexican coast. This GOES-13 image was taken at 1945z on September 7, 2011.
