Description
English: National Express West Midlands 4697 (YN55 PXB), a Scania OmniCity, at Old Square, Birmingham city centre, on route 16. This is a pre-production OmniCity, and is the only one like this with National Express West Midlands. It is easily distinguishable from production versions because of its old style headlights. NXWM have since purchased a handful more OmniCity double-deckers, but they are newer production versions. At the same time as 4697 was delivered, an early build Alexander Dennis Enviro400 arrived, fleet number 4698. They were both purchased to trial the types.
