Description
Deutsch: Blick in die Hölle im Nationalpark Neusiedler See-Seewinkel, aufgenommen von der Aussichtwarte Hölle. Im Vordergrund rechts die ausgetrocknete Scheibenlacke, im Hintergrund die Obere Hölllacke. Die Weinbauflächen zählen nicht zum Nationalparkgebiet (große Teile des Nationalparks sind genaugenommen ein Fleckerlteppich), sind jedoch Teil der UNESCO-Welterbestätte Fertő-Neusiedler See, des Europaschutzgebiets Neusiedler See - Nordöstliches Leithagebirge, sowie des Ramsar-Gebiets Neusiedler See. Die Scheibenlacke war noch 1872 mit der Unteren Hölllacke als eine einzige Lacke verbunden. Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts hatte die Scheibenlacke eine Wasserfläche von 8,3 ha, ehe sie durch den Bau des Untere Hölllacken-Scheibenlackenkanals, der mitten durch die Lacke verläuft, austrocknete.
