Description
English: A grey-black metallic specimen of the extremely rare native element indium from the type locality in Russia: Orlovskoye, Chitinskaya Oblast, Zabaykalsky Krai, Russian Federation. Native indium is one of the rarest native elements, even more in these completely analyzed specimens like this two, by SEM-EDS, where the analysis show a purity of 96% In, being the remaining Pb, with about 4%. Indium minerals ar every rare in Nature with only 16 In species known from a total of 5638 (source Mindat). Ex Vandenbroucke Museum collection from Waregem, Belgium.
